Doris June Proctor

Doris June Proctor, 79, of Owensboro, passed away Monday, November 13 at Heartland Villa in Lewisport, Kentucky. She was born in McLean County, Kentucky and grew up around Sacramento, Kentucky.

Doris’s children and grandchildren were her life! They will fondly remember her loving spirit, kind smile and warm hugs. Many memories including family, friends, cooking and music were made at river camp over the years. Ms. Proctor had most recently worked as the manager at the Dolly Madison bread store.     

She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey West; step-father, Burt Jackson; and brothers, Paul and Bud West.

Doris is survived by her children, David West (Kim) of Parrottsville, TN, Danny Proctor of Owensboro, Dana Alvey of Tell City, IN, Roxanne Proctor of Tell City, IN and J.D. Proctor (Megan) of Lincoln, NE; her mother,  Francis Louise Jackson; grandchildren, Greg Lanham, April Nunn, Andrea Nunn, David “Lil Dave” West, Karl Proctor, Amber Proctor and Mary Devine; twenty-five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Lou Ethel Dorris and Brenda Hanley; a brother, Norman West (Helene); and many nieces and nephews.
