Doris June Everly Miles

Doris June Everly Miles, 80, of Owensboro passed away Wednesday, August 21 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Island, Kentucky to the late Wallace, Sr. and Ruby Everly.

Doris had worked at G.E., the Cigar Factory and the Hon Co. for many years. She also worked for her son at Edwards Chiropractic Center until retiring.

She was of Methodist faith and was a member of the Class of Hope at Macedonia Baptist Church.

Doris always loved her pets, Coco and Princess, going to Goldie's Opry House, her doll collection and U.K. Basketball.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jewell Miles and brothers, Gerald, Dallas and Wallace Everly, Jr.

Doris is survived by a son, Dr. Will Edwards (Diane) of Owensboro; her beloved niece, Trena Fulkerson; several nephews; and dearest friend, Faye Thomas.

The funeral service will be at 2 PM on Saturday, August 24 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Paul Gatewood will officiate. Entombment will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Friday and after 1 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
