Doris Marie Foster

Doris Goode Foster, 85, of 1205 Leitchfield Rd., Owensboro, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2010 at Owensboro Place Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Reed, Ky. to the late Dennie L. and Nellie Bast Goode. She was of the Baptist faith and retired from the Hon Co. In her earlier years, she loved playing with her children and in her later years playing with all her grandchildren. She also loved flowers especially petunias, playing cards, and birds, especially parakeets. Doris was one of 12 children and enjoyed watching U. K. basketball. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Foster on March 29, 1987 and a granddaughter, Stephanie Foster in 1989.

Surviving are three daughters, Wilma Stallings and husband Mark, Joyce Mabry and husband Chuck, and Connie Sue Lanham and husband Chuck, all of Owensboro, a son, Larry D. Foster of Owensboro, 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and a sister, Gladys J. Roberts of Owensboro.

Services will be 12 Noon Thursday, October 7 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 10:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
