Doris Kasinger Baker, 91, of Masonville, passed away on Monday October 9, 2023. She was born March 15, 1932 in Daviess County to the late Lonnie and Clara Frances Allen Kasinger. Doris was a charter member of Masonville Baptist Church. She loved her church family and was very active throughout the years. She had worked early in her life at General Electric and eventually retired from the Daviess County School System where she worked for many years in the lunchroom at Burns Middle School. Doris was a person who loved helping others and she especially loved spending time with her family and took great pride in being a grandmother and great grandmother.
Doris was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Baker on August 12, 2008; a daughter, Brenda Lee Baker on May 29, 2021; and her siblings, Beulah Cambron, Lucille Epling, Frances Tyro, Mildred Snyder, Clifford Kasinger, and James Kasinger.
Surviving are two daughters, Charlene Brown and Marilyn K. Baker, both of Owensboro; her son, Wayne Baker and wife Alisa of Owensboro; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Doris will be 1 PM Saturday, October 14, at Masonville Baptist Church with burial following in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the time of the service at Masonville Baptist Church.
