Doris Robinson Aiken

Doris Robinson Aiken, 87, of New Albany, Ind., formerly of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at Autumn Woods Healthcare Center in New Albany. She was born on Nov. 4, 1920 in Peoria, Ill. to the late Roy W. Robinson and Ethel Cope Robinson Harlow. She was a homemaker, had attended Central Presbyterian Church in Owensboro, and was a member of the General Evan Shelby Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a past member of the Owensboro Country Club, the Campbell Club, and the Owensboro Business and Professional Women's Club. She was also preceded in death by husbands Ronald F. Faber, James McFarland, and Wayne Aiken, sisters, Dorothy R. McCalla (her twin), Mildred Harrod, and Norma Hertz, and brothers Stanley Eugene Robinson and William Robinson.

Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Faber Oyler and husband Raymond of New Albany, a son, Ronald Edward Faber and wife Georgiana of Pinellas Park, Fla., grandsons, Ryan Frederick Faber and wife Wendy of Justine, Tx. and Bryan Paul Faber of Pinellas Park, Fla., and two great grandsons, Dylan Faber of Pinellas Park and Riley Faber of Justine, Tx., a sister, Vivian R. Holt of Kokomo, Ind., and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be after 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer Assoc., or to the Central Presbyterian Church in Owensboro.
