Donna Marie Stallard

Donna Marie Stallard, 67, returned to the arms of the Lord at Owensboro Health Regional Community Hospital on October 24, 2013.

Donna was born in Clinchco, Va on September 6 1946 to the late Carmel & Ruth Johnson.

Donna retired from Federal Civil Service in 2000 following 27 years of dedicated service to the United States Armed Services.

Donna married Larry C Stallard CWO3 (US Army Retired) in Stuttgart Germany on September 30, 1966. Donna became a Federal employee and was able to continue her career while accompanying her husband to multiple duty stations both in the United States and Germany.

Donna was a loving Wife, Mother, Mammaw / Nana, sister and friends to many. She had a wonderful sense of humor and genuine kindness that will be missed by all who knew her.

Donna especially enjoyed spending time with her family playing cards, shopping and getting manicures with her best friend and daughter Vickie and her daughter in law Linda; watching her grandson Nick play football; teaching her granddaughter Madison gardening technics and making pinwheel candy; she was also extremely proud of her grandson Brandon as he attends Arizona State University and is a volunteer wish granter for the Make-a-Wish foundation.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter Amanda Stallard. Donna is survived by her husband of 47 years Larry, her oldest son David Stallard and his wife Linda of Avondale, Arizona, daughter Vickie Locher and her husband Jamie of Owensboro, and her youngest son Aaron Stallard of Owensboro; one brother Jerry Johnson and his wife Darlene of Owensboro. Grandson Brandon Stallard of Tempe Arizona, Nick Locher of Owensboro, and Madison Stallard of Avondale Arizona. Also surviving are one niece & nephew, several aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

The service will be held Monday October 28th 2013 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory located at 900 Old Hartford Road, Owensboro, KY 42303. Visitation will start at 4pm followed by the service at 6pm.
