Donna Kay Nave of Owensboro passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born in Daviess County, the daughter of the late Earl and Mary Crouch, Donna graduated from Daviess County High School. She worked at Field Packing Company and for many years with the Owensboro Board of Education. She was an administrative assistant for Letel, Inc. since 1964 and retired as legal assistant after 20 years with the law practice of the late John Helmers. She was a devoted grandmother to her three granddaughters and loved animals of all kinds, particularly her cats. Donna was member of First Free Will Baptist Church, a volunteer with the McLean-Daviess Baptist Association Dental Clinic for more than 20 years, an avid fan of Kentucky Wesleyan College Panthers basketball, a member of the K.W.C. All American Club, a hostess for the Hospitality Room for KWC home games, and for many years traveled with the Panther Express. She enjoyed spending time with her friends playing Farkle, Bunco and attending events at The RiverPark Center.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Nave; her sons, Paul Nave and his wife Arretta and Lonnie Nave and his wife Laura, all of Owensboro; and her granddaughters Mollie Nave, Morgan Nave, and Brook Nave.
The funeral service for Mrs. Nave, officiated by Brother Tim Hall, will be at 12:00 noon Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to First Freewill Baptist Church.
