Donald Wayne Witt, 24 of Owensboro passed away Monday, November 29, 2010 at the Owensboro Medical Health Sytem. Born in Montgomery County, MD on December 20, 1985, Don was a Golden Arm welder and member of the Barbarossa Motorcycle Club. He was a loving husband, father, and friend. Don adored his children. He was very caring and would give anyone in need the shirt off his back to help them. He was preceded in death by uncles, Woodie Wilcox, David Witt, Robert Leach, T-Bone Ernest McCool, Stevie Calloway, and his mother-in-law, Deborah Straney.
Surviving are his wife, Alice Miller Witt; children, Steven Michael Witt-Wilcox, Donald Wayne Witt, II, Randall Wayne O'Bryan, and Deborah Casey Jean Smith; his father, Donald Wilcox of Masonville; his mother and step-father, Deborah and Phil Dickinson of Hartford; brothers, Jake Leach of Owensboro and Doug Witt of Hartford; sisters, Dawn Wilcox of Owensboro and Chessa Blacklock of Cromwell; grandparents, Sharon Smith of Masonville, Doug and Kay Witt of Hartford and Paul and Juanita Wilcox of Owensboro; in-laws, Melvin and Deborah Miller of Knottsville; a very special uncle, Doug and Beth Witt; and his Barbarossa Brothers.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday, December 2, 2010 in the Chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in the Witt Family Cemetery in Ohio County. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday and after 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
