Donald Todd Taylor

Donald Todd "Pops" Taylor, 69, of Masonville, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2009 at his home. He was born March 17, 1940 in Daviess Co. to the late Marion Wilson and Mabel Ann Simpson Taylor. Donald and his brother, Bill, farmed together for many years as Taylor Brothers Farms, and he was a member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church. He loved playing Rummy and spending time especially on holidays with his family and most of all with his grandchildren. His favorite holidays with the kids were the 4th of July "Independence Day" and Halloween. He enjoyed traveling to the Smokey Mountains, riding motorcycles, and having cookouts and family gatherings. Don enjoyed going to the Masonville Food Center at "Coffee thirty" for coffee with all his friends, was an avid U.K. basketball fan, and loved semi trucks with Peterbilts being his favorite.

Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Shirley Taylor, three sons, Tim Taylor and wife Gentry of Fresno, CA, D. D. Taylor and wife Alane of Masonville, and Brad Cozart and wife LeVon of Owensboro, his daughter, Susan McFadden and husband James of Masonville, 15 grandchildren, Megan McFadden, Laurel McFadden, Chase Taylor, Kamron Taylor Shearn, Seth Taylor, Brianna Standridge, Isabelle Standridge, Jackson Taylor, Rian Taylor, Nolan Taylor, Caleb Taylor, Heather Barr, Amanda Barr, Allie Cozart, and Maggie Cozart, five great grandchildren, a brother, William Taylor and wife Nelda of Masonville, a sister, Ann Mitchell of Sorgho, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved cat Mason.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 8, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
