Donald Ray Miller, 58, of Haynes Avenue, Owensboro, died Sunday, March 13, 2011 at his home. He was a native of Daviess County, born to the late Donald and Josephine (Young) Sr. He worked for Old South Barbeque on Highway 54. He enjoyed his work, and he and his wife went dancing at Ohio County Park every week. He was a foster parent and had several foster children. His grandmother, Eula Spinks and a brother, Mitchell Miller also preceded him in death.
Surviving is his wife, Carolyn Cline Miller, his children, Benjamin (Mary) Miller, Stephanie Miller Dickens, grandchildren, Brayer Miller, Amber, Robert, Sarah and Ben Dickens, and Kenneth Barnett, a great granddaughter, Savannah Dickens, brothers and sisters, David Miller, Billy (Debbie) Miller, Donna (Darrell) Renfrow, Orville (Kyla) Miller, aunts and uncles, Barbara (James) Boone, Valerie (Bobby) Ford, John Young, Joesph (Brenda) Young, Janice Miller, Ava Lois (Billy) Cline, and two dear friends, Thomas Coley and Renetta Kay James.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m., and after 9 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Sunnydale Cemetery in Ohio County. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Donald Miller Family, C/O Carolyn Miller.
