Donald R. Hamilton

Donald R. Hamilton, 77, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born September 28, 1938 in Tell City, Indiana to the late Dallas B. and Lola Ann Westerfield Hamilton. Donald was retired from Owensboro Municipal Utilities as a fuel systems operator, was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, and a U. S. Army veteran. He was a Green Bay Packers and U. K. basketball fan and enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and playing basketball. He was preceded in death by a son, Eric Wayne Hamilton in 2002, and two brothers, John and Leon Hamilton.

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Martha J. Hamilton, two sons, Kevin R. Hamilton and wife Lorma and Dallas Hamilton and fiancé Jessica Edge, all of Owensboro, two grandchildren, Dakota Hamilton and Khylie, a brother, Thomas Hamilton of Owensboro, and three sisters, Louise Wethington of Owensboro, Betty King of Florida, and Shirley McCormick of Champaign, IL.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, April 7, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday with prayers at 7:30 P.M. and from 8:30-9:30 A.M. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
