Donald Ray Daugherty

Donald Ray Mr. Don Daugherty, 65, of Owensboro, died Thursday, May 3, 2007. He was born June 6, 1941 in Owensboro to the late W.R. and Pat Fulkerson Daugherty. Mr. Daugherty retired after 35 years of service from Barton Brands Distilleries and he was an honorable member of the Kentucky Colonels. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, and he also loved visiting his friends at Foodland on Hwy 60 where he would buy his scratch-offs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of twenty-four years, Pamela Ann Goff Daugherty; his mother and father-in-law, Hugh and Rebecca Goff; and his nephew, Tommy Goff.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca Daugherty of Owensboro, Dona Daugherty of Lexington, Prissy and Doug Gilmore of Knottsville, and Kim and Shane Millay of Knottsville; his grandchildren, Jake Gilmore, Noel Gilmore, Kaylee Gilmore, Riley Millay, Reese Millay, Lalia Gilmore, and Lanie Millay; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan and Joseph Wathen of Owensboro, Priscilla and Jesse Nelson of Indiana, and Jennifer and C.E. Beeler of Georgia, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. on Monday, May 7 at Glenn Funeral Home with Rev. William Roberts officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be at Glenn Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 6 and again on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until service time.

Memorial contributions may be made in the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
