Dona K. Calhoun

Dona K. Calhoun, 69, of Owensboro, left this world peacefully, surrounded by her family December 20, 2013 at her home. She was born March 29, 1944 in Stanley to the late John C. and Anna D. Keller. Dona married Tom September 22, 2000 where they came to be known as T&D. They renewed their vows within the Catholic faith on June 20, 2007. Dona was a loving person that took care of everyone and had the biggest heart of anyone the family knew. She loved spending time with her grandkids, especially her special times with Gracie. Dona enjoyed golf and lived for the SEC and NCAA Tournaments. She loved UK basketball and her trips to Rupp Arena.

Besides her parents, Dona is preceded in death by her sister, Sue Girten, Step-son, Curt Calhoun, Niece, Sandi Girten and Nephew, Gerald Girten.

Survivors include her husband Tom Calhoun, Son, Brian McCormick (Karen Sue); Daughter, Jana Coffman (Bennie) all of Owensboro, Step-children Jill Kamer (Matt) of Louisville, Denice Moore (Charlie) of Owensboro; Steven Calhoun of Bowling Green. Sisters Libby Girten, Anita Fogle and Martha Bolin (Barin) all of Owensboro and Gerry Hamburg of Daviess Co. Brothers Jimmie Keller (Mary) and Philip Keller (Judy) of Owensboro. Grandkids Nathan Tuggle, Katie McCormick, Allie Cozart, Maggie Cozart, Heath Coffman, Gracie Coffman, Adam Kamer, Lauren Kamer, Connor Moore, Brandon Moore, Andrew Moore and Grayson Moore. She also had a Klan of Nieces and Nephews.

Services will be at 10 AM on Monday, December 23, 2013 at Precious Blood Church. Burial will follow at St. Peter Alcantara Cemetery in Stanley. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 PM on Sunday with prayers at 5 PM and after 8:30 AM on Monday. Care has been entrusted to Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory in Owensboro.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Jude Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
