Dolly D. Ray

Dolly Smith Ray, 87, of Owensboro, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Bon Harbor Nursing Home. She was born in Hancock County to the late William Everett and Gracie (Keown) Smith, and was a retired supervisor from Rosedale Nursing Home. Dolly enjoyed doing puzzles and was a Cincinnati Reds fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Alice Smith, Zelmalee Hamilton, Maudie Sanders, and Virgie Cravens.
Surviving are her children, James L. Ray, Pat Owens, and Phillip Ray of Owensboro, Larry (Kathy) Ray of Trion, GA, and grandchildren, Judy Owens, John Knight and Mark Knight of Owensboro, Ernie Ray, Chris Ray, and Windy Campbell of Trion, GA., and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2012 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Jerry Ford officiating. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
