Dola Jean McCoy

Dola Jean McCoy, 75, of Philpot passed away Monday, July 15, 2024, at her home with her loving family by her side. The Williamson, West Virginia native was born May 16, 1949, to the late Bill and Pearle Maynard. Dola was a servant at heart. Her husband, family, and church all benefited from her labors. As a loyal and devoted pastor’s wife, she faithfully protected him from distractions and issues that allowed him to fulfill his ministry. Dola was a great example of a wife, mother, and granny. She enjoyed singing, especially Southern Gospel music. 

 In addition to her parents, Dola also was preceded in death by her sister, Oneda White in March of this year.

 Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 58 years, Joseph McCoy; three children, Melissa McCoy Weisner (Eric), Jerry McCoy (Ciera), and Tonya McCoy Zganyayko (Vadim); nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren; sister, Lorilei Evans (Wilburn); brother, David Maynard (Alice); brother-in-law, Noah White; several nieces and nephews. 

 Arrangements for Dola McCoy are private. A memorial service at the Seventh Day Adventist Church will be held at a date to be determined. Care by Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
