Dinah Ray Cook

Dinah "Sissy" Ray Cook, age 69, of Owensboro passed away on Friday, August 31, 2012 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born on September 20, 1942 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Raymond and Lucille Davenport.

Aside from her loving parents she is preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Lee Davenport and David Harold Davenport, and one sister, Margaret Ann Bolton.

She is survived by two loving children, James Cook of Conroe Texas and Cheryl Cook Kelly of Ft. Myers Florida, two brothers; Raye Davenport of Orlando Florida and Daniel G. Davenport ( Carolyn) of Masonville KY, three sisters; Rose Deno ( Jerry) of Owensboro, Kathy Jane Davenport of Owensboro, Katy Sue Hempfling ( Ricky) of Owensboro. She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Family came first in Sissy's life she enjoyed spending time with her children, sisters, and brothers. She loved shopping for clothes and particularly enjoyed buying shoes when she shopped. She loved animals and was the owner of a lucky grey and white cat named Storm.
