Diane Mayton Jones

Diane Mayton Jones, 72, of Owensboro, died on November 14, 2014 at her home. She was born September 7, 1942 to the late LeRoy Mayton and Betty Boone. Diane was a member of Christ Community Church. She enjoyed babysitting, playing cards, UK Basketball, spending time with friends, family, kids, and grandkids. Diane loved going to Florida for family vacations. She was kindly referred to as "Mammaw" by the many children she cared for in her home.

In addition to her parents Diane was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, James Samuel Jones, a brother, Gerald Mayton; a brother-in-law Donnie Jones

Survivors include, her son, Ricky Jones (Donna); daughter, Kim Jones Owen; grandchildren, Blake Owen, Kara Owen Barbour(Andy), Christy Prater, Misty Powers (Ryan), and Chase Jones; great-grandchildren, Taylor Trogden, Blakelyn Barbour, Grayson Powers, Jackson Powers, Lincoln Prater, Miles Prater, and Jada Prater; sister, Gayle Mayton, sister-in-law, Judy Lambert(Jim), Brother-in-law, Bill Jones(Gerry); and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews,

Service will be 12 Noon Tuesday November 18, 2014 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Myke Templeton officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8pm Monday and after 10 Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Christ Community Church Building Fund or the American Heart Association.
