DeVera Diane Davis, 79, of Maceo passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at her home. Born in Mt Carmel, IL of April 19, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Kathleen Woolsey Saulmon and was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Davis was an artist and designed Teddy Bears for many years as the owner of the Old Trunk Bear Company. She made Teddy Bears that have been sold all over the world. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Saulmon, Jr., and a grandson, Brandon Vukovich.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Jack Davis; daughters, Abby Vukovich (Bill), Jennifer Schoenbaechler (Tony), and Jackie Wood all of Evansville; a son, Jody Davis (Laurie) of Nashville; grandchildren, Daemion Vukovich, Aaron Vukovich, Kyle Wood, Tia Croce, Levi Schoenbaechler, Bethany Davis, Violet Davis, Isabella Davis, and Lucy Davis; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Priscilla Splittorf of Arizona.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday, December 15, 2017 in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. James Wedding officiating followed by burial in Yellow Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. till 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
