Dessie M. Gordon

Dessie M. Gordon, 89, of 5043 Old Hartford Road, Owensboro, died Sunday, November 18, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess county native was a member of First Christian Church an enjoyed flowers, sewing and spending time with cats. Her husband, Herman Gordon, died in 1964.
Survivors include a son, Gene Gordon of Maceo; two daughters, Betty Clark and Linda Ward, both of Owensboro; 10 grandchildren; a stepgrandson; 11 great-grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and a half brother, Charlie McDaniel of Evansville.
Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to First Christian Church.
