Denny Ray Chapman

Denny Ray Chapman, 73, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2015 at his home. He was born June 11, 1942, in Ohio Co., KY to the late Hubert Harold ''Joe'' and Ruby Nell Young Chapman. Denny had served in the U. S. Marine Corps Reserves and had been a member of the Marine Corps League. He was retired after 42 years with the Whirlpool Corp. He enjoyed fishing, U.K. basketball, auto racing, traveling, raising a garden, and spending time with his family. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Jean Craig, Judi Hufnagel, and JoAnn Hewitt, and his stepfather, Jim Sabourin.

Surviving are his children, sons Cory (Laura) Chapman of Bloomington, IN and Evan (Nicollette Staton) Chapman of Hamilton, OH, daughters, Krista Jean (James) Snelling of Utica and Heidi Jo (Tony) Conner of Owensboro, four grandchildren, Dianne Carter, Joseph Carter, Aleisha Beard and fiance Grant Rhodes, and John Alan Chapman, five great grandchildren, Aidan Carter, Cadence Phillips, Carson Teasley, Brody Phillips, and Adilynn Jo Rhodes, and nieces and nephews, Lisa, MiShawn, Matthew, Danny, Scott, Kerry, Tony, and Shari .

Services will be 12 Noon Wednesday, September 30, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
