Dennis F. Higdon

Dennis F. Higdon, 75, of Owensboro, died January 30, 2006 at Owensboro Medical Health System. The Daviess Co. native was born April 6, 1930 to the late Wilber and Mary Ruth Johnson Higdon. He was a member of Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church, a Korean War Army veteran, and he enjoyed listening to Bluegrass music and spending time with his family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Dina Lindow in September, 2005, and by his sister, Marcelline Hagan in 1989.
Survivors include his wife of forty-six years, Mary L. Higdon, of Owensboro, his sons, Phillip L. Higdon and David Higdon, both of Owensboro, his daughters and sons-in-law, Debby and Michael Ward of Owensboro, Mary C. Higdon of Nashville, TN, Luanne and Matt Robbins of Owensboro, and Jim Lindow of Owensboro, his brothers, Henry Higdon of Whitesville and Paul Higdon of Owensboro, his sister, Margaret M. Ratliff of Owensboro, his grandchildren, Christina Lindow of Owensboro, Eric and Emily Ward of Owensboro, Olivia Mock of Owensboro and Lily Grace Robbins of Owensboro.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2006 at Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church with Father Brian Roby officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 1, 2006 from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Glenn Funeral Home and from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Prayer services will be at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
