Dennis Martin Hayden

Dennis Martin Hayden, 66, of Lane Road, Owensboro, died Saturday, September 27, 2008, at the Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born November 7, 1941 to the late Henry W. and Mary Ola Mulligan Hayden in Daviess County. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church where he was an eucharistic minister and worked with the jail ministry. He was an Army Veteran, a farmer and had worked with the Kentucky State Road Department. He enjoyed photography, animals and being with his friends, family and especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kate Hayden on July 29, 2006, 5 sisters, Mary Nell Lackey, Paula Wayne, Anne Hayden, Theresa Hayden and Gemma Hayden, 2 brothers, Rev. Lucian Hayden and Richard Hayden.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Mildred Faye Hayden; his sons, Walter (Lisa) Hayden of Louisville, Stephen (Sarah) Hayden of Owensboro, his daughters, Denise Hayden, Michelle (Mark) Adams, and Theresa Hayden, all of Owensboro; 13 grandchildren, Adam and Maria Hayden, Wade and Jacob Evans, Shelby and Jenna Hodges, Cody and Katie Hayden, Mason, Allana, Emma and Olivia Adams, and Drew Hayden; his brothers, Pat (Macel) Hayden of Dayton, OH, Hank (Margaret) Hayden, of New York, NY, Rev. Michael Hayden of San Pedro, CA, Raymond (Vi) Hayden of Barbourville, David Lee (Mary Jo) Hayden of White Plains, MD, his sisters, Sister Marie Michael Hayden of Fordsville, Rose Marie (Bob) Cassidy of Eugene, OR, and Rachael Hayden of Owensboro.

Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, at St. Pius X Catholic Church with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM Monday, with prayers at 7:00 PM, and visitation after 10:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
