Dennis Earl "Pap" Boone

Dennis Earl "Pap" Boone, 65, of Utica, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born June 1, 1951 in Daviess Co. to the late Harold and Helen Dragoo Boone. Dennis had been an oil field worker and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed U.K. football and basketball and Alabama football. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching Westerns, spending time with his grandchildren, and had served in the Army National Guard.

Surviving are his girlfriend, whom he had been with for 46 years, Janet Nash, his son, Denny Boone and wife Andria of Owensboro, his daughter, Jennifer Boone and her partner Lorrie Moore of Masonville, four grandchildren, Daniel Crabtree (Haley) of Valdosta, GA, Kadie Boone of Masonville, Jadyn and Kasey Boone, both of Owensboro, brothers and sisters, Doug Boone (Glenada) of Whitesville, Ruth Elmore (Benny) of Pleasant Ridge, Paul Ray Boone of Thomasville, GA, Donna Howe of Springfield, TN, and Gayle Stovall (Bob) of Hermitage, TN.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 2, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Kimbrough Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Bells Run Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday and after Noon Friday at the funeral home.
