Demetris Meechie Watkins, 29, of 1504 20th. St., Tell City, In. passed away on Friday, May 13, 2005 at Perry Co., Memorial Hospital. He was born in Danville, Il. and was a customer service representative for Accent Marketing in Tell City. He was a U. S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the Church of God, enjoyed fishing, cooking, and playing basketball.
Surviving is his fiance, Amy Cartwright of Tell City, his parents, Janice Newton Watkins of Owensboro and Rev. Robert Reuben Watkins III of Louisville, a brother, Cedric Reuben Watkins of Pineville, Ky. his uncle, Curtis L. Beasley, Jr. and his grandfather, Hugh L. Brown, both of Danville, Il., his extended family, Taylor Lawrence and Donna Logsdon, both of Owensboro, and Brenden Lewis of Tell City, and a niece, Ta-Rica Harris Watkins of Owensboro.
Funeral services will be at 1:15 P.M. Wednesday, May 18, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
