Mrs. Delphine James Addington, 74, of 3031 San Juan Drive, Owensboro, Kentucky died there June 20, 2002. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Rayburn Addington, on June 21, 1963 and by a daughter, Gail Addington, on September 9, 1962.
Mrs. Addington was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church where she retired as bookkeeper and secretary. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her church.
She is survived by one son,Lynn Addington of Owensboro; one daughter, Theresa Railey of Owensboro; three sisters, Beatrice Cundiff and Jean Fuson both of Owensboro and Shirley Alexander of Beaver Dam; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are to be held in Macedonia Baptist Church on Monday, June 24 at 10:00 a.m.. Visitation is at Glenn Funeral Home on Sunday, June 23 from 12:00 until 6:00 p.m., and again on Monday after 9 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Centertown Cemetery in Ohio County.
Expressions of Sympathy may take the form of donations to the Macedonia Baptist Church Building Fund.
