Deloris Shultz, 71, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at the Heartford House. She was born on February 14, 1943 in Jefferson Co., KY to the late William Rondal and Golda Viola Burgess Martin. She was a homemaker and enjoyed raising flowers and working in her yard and playing bingo. She especially loved her dog, Buster. Deloris originally started, owned and operated Deloris's Caf for about 12 years. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Bunch on December 27, 2013.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, James Shultz, two daughters, Carla Shultz and fianc Ben Creamer of Owensboro, and Roxanne "Rocky" Sparks and husband Terry of Utica, two sons, Joe Shultz and wife Susan of Utica and Ray Shultz of Owensboro, eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and a sister, Virginia "Gin" Hamilton of Louisville.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 13, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Nickel Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday and after 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
