Deloris "Dee" Brickner

Deloris “Dee” Brickner, 78, of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Dee was born November 24, 1945 in Pulaski County, Kentucky to the late Jessie and Lora Ping. Dee was of the Catholic faith, being a parishioner of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church for 26 years.

 Dee was known for her warmth, generosity, and the loving spirit she brought into the world. She devoted her life to her family and friends and wanted nothing more than to see people happy. Dee loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, working puzzles, quilting and reading.

Along with her parents, Dee was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Ray Brickner, and sisters, Evelyne Reynolds, Edith Phipps and Chris Phelps.

Dee will be lovingly remembered by her beloved children, son, Douglas Ray Brickner, his wife Lisa Brickner, and their four children, Keaton, Courtney Hannah, and Brock, of Mt. Vernon, IN; her daughter, Cynthia Ann Sydenstricker and her two children, Austin and Shelby, of Owensboro; former son-in-law and friend, Mike Sydenstricker; sister, Sandra Mink and her son, Gregory Broyles; a niece, Tammy Marrs, her husband Tim Marrs, and their two children, Kevin and Hannah, of Fishers, Indiana. 

The funeral Mass for Dee will be held at 11:30 am, Monday, November 25, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until the time of Mass, at the church .
