Della Mattingly, 91, of Owensboro, Kentucky died Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born in Meade County to the late John L. and Stella Singleton Kinley and grew up in Hawesville. Mrs. Mattingly was a member of Immaculate Catholic Church, enjoyed singing, playing bingo and cards, and doing word finds. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Scott Jefferson Mattingly; a brother, John E. Kinley; sisters, Ruth Young and Lucy Rothgerber; and a son-in-law, Marvin (Mogy) Reynolds, Jr.
Survivors include her daughters, Aleta Willett (Marion), Karen Jennings, and Linda Hodskins (Tim) all of Owensboro; grandchildren, Darren Reynolds (Angie), Jennifer Wedding (Eric), Ben Hodskins (Virginia), Eddie Willett (Aden), Alexis Hood (Jeremy), Krissy York (Jeff), Lori Beaty (Chris), Wes Reynolds, and Zachary Jennings; great-grandchildren, Audrey and Mark Wedding, Max and Mason Hood, Alexandria Hodskins, Elise Beaty and Porter Reynolds; nephew and nieces, Eddie and Velana Kinley, Lynn, Cheryl, Dolores and Robin.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Immaculate Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service at the church. Burial will be in the St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery in McQuady, KY.
