Delbert Glenn Green

Delbert Glenn Green, 63, of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at the Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born October 16, 1945 to Delbert Leo and Elizabeth Slack Green in Daviess County. He was a self-employed farmer who enjoyed working on and sharing his great knowledge of farm equipment with others. He was a member of Sorgho Baptist Church for many years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Leo Green in 1979.

Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Green of Owensboro, his sisters, Ruby Green of Owensboro and Dorothy Dunn of Stanley, his brother, Wayne Green and his wife, Betty of Owensboro; he loved his five nephews, Charlie Dunn and his wife, Kenya, Robert Dunn, B.J. Dunn, Chris Green, and Jeremy Green and his wife, Jessica, his niece, Melanie Beyke and her husband, Logan; he enjoyed being with his three great-nephews and four great-nieces, and several aunts and uncles.

Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Sorgho Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, and after 8:30 AM Friday at the funeral home.
