Debra Ann Record

Debra Ann Record, 54, of Owensboro, died Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at her home. She was born May 21, 1955 to Roland and Shirley Grimm Karr in Gallipolis, OH. She was retired from the Owensboro Board of Education after more than 30 years of teaching. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, KEA, NEA, and she enjoyed reading, going to the beach, traveling and teaching young children.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roland Karr on June 26, 2006.

Survivors include her son, Chris Record of Bluffton, SC; her mother, Shirley Karr of Owensboro; her sisters, Sandra Feria and her husband, Ed of Bowling Green, and Diane Tucker of Carlyle, IL; and four nieces, Jennifer Prenzel, Jessica Tucker, Madison Feria, and Emily Feria.

Services will be 10:00 AM Monday at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM Sunday and after 9:00 AM Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Estes Elementary School, 1675 Leitchfield Road, Owensboro, KY 42303.
