Deborah Ann Hagan “Debbie” Bartlett, 70, of Owensboro, passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 11, 2025 at the Heartford House surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 8, 1955, she was a daughter to the late Wilfred and Mary Lois Lanham Hagan. Debbie was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and had been a babysitter for many children for many years. She was a person of deep faith who trusted in God’s loving kindness. Family was very important to Debbie. She treasured every family gathering, big or small, and found her greatest joy when surrounded by those she loved. She always took time to listen and to make each person feel special and important.
Debbie was also preceded in death by her husband Jerry Lee Bartlett on May 21, 2014 and a brother Michael Hagan.
Known for her artistic spirit and generous heart, she spent much of her life caring for children. These included both her own and many other fortunate enough to be in her care. Her creativity showed through in everything she touched from her art projects to her beautiful floral designs. She never let a second pass without thoughtfully creating flowers for her deceased husband, parents, grandparents, and brother thereby keeping their memories alive.
She also had a playful side and found joy in simple things like playing games on her cell phone and sharing laughter with family and friends. She once said she hoped to “keep her memory to the end”, and those who knew her will remember her for her warmth, creativity, and unwavering love for her family.
Her life was a testament to kindness, devotion, and beauty---a true reflection of her generous and loving soul.
Debbie is survived by three devoted daughters, Amy Collins of Owensboro, Beth Bartlett (Rut) of Whitesville, and Ashley Callahan (John) of Owensboro; and by four beloved grandchildren, Hunter Collins (Lexie), Sgt. Hagan Collins (serving in Texas), Houston Collins, and Annie-Kate Callahan, all of Owensboro. She is also survived by her loving siblings, Karen Hodskins (Ed) of Owensboro, Mary Susan Clark (Dennis) of Owensboro, Pat Hagan (Dianne) of Owensboro, Stephen Hagan (Susan) of Paducah, and Teresa Aull (Ricky) of Owensboro; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shirley Dieckmann (John) of Hardinsburg; and by many cherished nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
