Debbie Taliaferro

Debra Lynn Head Taliaferro, 65, of Missouri City, Texas, formerly of Owensboro, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Kindred Hospital in Sugarland, Texas. She was born in Owensboro to the late Henry Harrison and Alice Unsel Head.

After moving to Texas in the early eighties, Debra worked for several years as a bookkeeper. She was a lifelong member of Thruston United Methodist Church. Debra was committed to family and made countless trips back to Owensboro through the years. She was an outgoing and caring friend to many.
Debra was also an enthusiastic sports fan and especially enjoyed U.K., Tennessee Titans and the Atlanta Braves.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Head and special friend, Stan Bump.

Debra is survived by her husband of 46 years, Michael Taliaferro of Missouri City, Texas; siblings, Donna McDaniel, Dyann Lashbrook, Derror Head and his wife Jane, Dane Zoglmann, Dalynda Welborn, and Henry Head, Jr., all of Owensboro; 21 nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, Ernie Taliaferro, his wife Shirley and family; special friends, Don and Lynne Higginbotham, Dan and Wanda Rogers, Brock and Vinnie Moore, all of Texas, Bo, Cindy and Steve Bump and Ava Heep; and her beloved cat, Rosey.

The service will be 10AM Saturday, August 19 at Thruston United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Yellow Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 PM Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and Saturday after 9AM until service time at the church.
