Dean L. Sailer, 63, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 at his home in Henderson under the care of St. Anthony's Hospice. Born in Reading, Pa. to the late Irvin and Donna Sailer. Dean attended Edgewater High School in Orlando, Fl. before enlisting early in the United States Navy at the age of 17. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Henderson and retired from the Social Security Administration as a guard for the Department of Homeland Security.
He was preceded in death by a brother, David Sailer.
Dean is survived by his wife of 41 years, Vickie Chinn Sailer; his daughters, Amy Thomasson and her husband Kyle of Onton, Ky., Abbey Sailer (Josh Septer and his son Case) of Zion, Ky.; a granddaughter, Emery Thomasson; sisters, Sue Absher and Kathy Sailer of Orlando, Fl.; his special Uncle and Aunt, Kermit and Lou Berry of Providence, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Dean's life celebration from 4 PM until service time on Thursday May 4, 2017 at First Baptist Church, 306 Center St. Henderson, Ky. 42420. The memorial service will be held at 6 PM at the church with Rev. Todd Linn, PhD officiating.
