Dawn "Aba" Lang

Dawn ‘ABA’ Lang, 43, of Owensboro, passed away at her home Thursday, December 19, 2024. She was born December 15th, 1981 in Owensboro. Dawn was a loving mother, wife, “Gmom” and friend who always made sure those she loved were well taken care of and fed good food. She spent a lot of her time cooking and feeding people, and it became a passion for her and her husband, Norman. For the last eight years, Dawn had worked as a Parking Enforcement Officer for the Owensboro Police Department. She was a well-loved and active servant member of Jesus House Church. Dawn loved her family more than anything, and often her friends became her family.

 She is preceded in death by her mom, Sharon Smith; her father, Donald Wilcox; brothers, Woodie Wilcox and Donnie Witt; and granddaughter, Kendall Belcher.

 Dawn is survived by her husband of thirteen years, Norman Lang; children, Icces and Dee Crocker, Sky and Kyle Belcher, Mya Lang, and Aniyah, DaJuan, AnTwuan and Brandon Lang; brothers, Charles Campbell and Gunner Wilcox; granddaughter, Kamrynn Belcher; her two “fur babies”, Zara and Avani; as well as many other family members and friends who became family.

 The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 27 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, where visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Entombment will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
