David E. Worth

David E. Worth, 74, of Philpot, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Daviess County to the late Theodore and Lillian Sublett Worth.

David was employed as a mechanic for Doug Evans Auto Sales for many years before operating his own business from home. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. David enjoyed hunting, was an avid bass fisherman and loved spending time with family, especially his granddaughter, Dana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Betty Worth; and his brother, Jimmy Worth.

David is survived by his wife of 50 years, Deloris Worth; children, Doreena Worth of Philpot and David E. Worth (Dawn) of Owensboro; granddaughter, Dana Worth of Philpot; several nieces and nephews, including Marvin Storm and Johnny Worth who were especially close to him; and his faithful canine companion, Austin.

The service will be Noon Thursday, April 5 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 until 8 PM and Thursday after 10 AM at the funeral home.
