David D. Woodward

David D. Woodward, 85, of Grandview, IN, formerly of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Transcendent Healthcare in Boonville, IN. He was born on January 21, 1925 in Rock Island, IL to the late Henry Louis and Mabel Martin Woodward. He was retired after 21 years with the U. S. Postal Inspection Service and also was a barber for 50 years. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of the American Legion, Travelers Protective Assoc., and the Church of the Nazarene.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Marie Woodward, three sons, David Woodward, Jr. and wife Shirley of Covington, KY, Patrick M. Woodward and wife Donna of Boonville, IN, and Michael Woodward and wife Jane of Hamilton, OH, daughter, Henrietta Schweizer and husband Joe of Grandview, nine grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be private. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
