David Wayne Bell

David Wayne Bell, 64, of Owensboro, passed away, Friday, September 19, 2025, under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. He was born January 17, 1961, to the late Herbert Bell and Mary Helen Gaddis. David retired from Owensboro Health Regional Hospital after 15 years in maintenance.

David's love for his family was profound, and he cherished every moment spent with his grandkids. He was known to them for his ability to tell jokes and bring smiles to their faces. David was an avid UK basketball fan; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, going camping and traveling, finding peace and fulfillment in the great outdoors. His love for nature extended to his remarkable green thumb, as he had a unique gift for gardening.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 32 years, Cindy Bell; daughter, Amanda Yancey; stepson, Jeremy Morris (Jessica); sisters, Cindy Sublett (Joe) and Beverly Bacon; brother, Kenneth Bell (Jimi); grandchildren, Bryanna Copeland, Dustin Copeland and Jase Morris; as well as many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for David will be 2 PM Friday, September 26, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 10 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery.
