David Lee Walker, 56, of 3700 State Route 69, Hawesville, Ky., passed away on Sunday May 6, 2007 at his home. He was born in Illinois and was employed by General Electric in Owensboro, Ky. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed karaoke and his work. He was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Lee Walker on August 5, 1980, his father, Joseph Walker, and a sister, Loretta Coffer on May 1, 1997.
Surviving is a son David Anthony Walker of Owensboro, his mother, Dorothy Walker of DeMotte, In., a grandson, Tyler Michael Walker of Owensboro, three brothers, Steve Walker of Dade City, Fla., Bruce Walker and wife Linda and Donald Walker, all of DeMotte, In., and a sister, Jodeana Walker of DeMotte, In.
Services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, May 12 at the Jackson Funeral Home in DeMotte, In. Burial will follow in Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, In. Visitation will be from 11:00-6:00 P.M. Thursday, May 10 at the Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro, Ky. and then from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, May 11 at the Jackson Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of the Ohio Valley, 723 Harvard Dr., Owensboro, Ky. 42301.
