David O. Taylor, 64, of 8187 Knottsville-Mt. Zion Road, Philpot, died Monday, July 7, 2003, at his home. He was the son of the late Leroy and Eloise May Taylor. David attended Dexter Grade School, and attended Tell City High School. He enjoyed John Deere Tractors and semi-trucks, and farming. David was a member of Crossroads Methodist Church in Magnet, Indiana. He was a truck driver,for West Express for 18 years, before retiring. He is survived by his wife, Gay Winkler Taylor of Philpot. He is also survived by three step-sons, Robert Lee Winkler, James Kenneth Winkler, and Carllas Dale Winkler, all of Philpot, Ky. A sister, Linda Schraner of Derby, Indiana, and a brother, Jerry C. Taylor of Evansville, Indiana, and five stepgrandchildren, five nieces and nephews, and 16 great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10 A.M. Thursday, July 10, 2003 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and after 8:30 a.m. Thursday. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice Association Inc. Memorial Fund.
