David Clifton Roberts

David Clifton Roberts, 69, of 3531 Surrey Dr. East, Owensboro, died Saturday, June 23, 2001 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Hancock County native was retired from Hon Company after 39 years service as a Finisher. A member of the Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, he was a member of the United Steel Workers and enjoyed farming and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Geneva Alexander Roberts; three sons, Larry Wayne Roberts and David Alan Roberts both of Owensboro and Ronnie Joe Roberts of Rockport, IN; a daughter, Mary Eva Pennewell of Cottage Grove, TN; 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; his father, George Clifton Roberts of Owensboro; and six sisters, Imogene Cooper, Mary Cooper, Margaret Cox, Hazel Mattingly and Thelma Cox all of Owensboro and Martha Cox of Hanson.

Funeral services are 10 A.M. Monday, June 25, 2001 at the Glenn Funeral Home with entombment in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-8 P.M. Sunday and after 8:30 A.M., Monday.
