David Daniel Rhoades

September 30, 1934 — October 1, 2017

David Daniel Rhoades, 83, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, October 1st, 2017 at his residence. He was born September 30, 1934 to the late Kerney and Jessie Rhoades. As a motorcycle enthusiast, David liked working with his hands. He enjoyed it so much, he worked for Honda motorcycles for several years performing everything from sales to mechanical work. David loved wrestling, watching NASCAR, and telling jokes. David loved his dog "Precious" and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandkids.
David is preceded in death by a brother, Rommie Rhoades
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Virginia "Louise" Rhoades of Owensboro; his daughters, Debbie Fulkerson (Danny) of Maceo, KY, Karen Connor (Jim) of Owensboro, Kim Pierce (Gary) of Mortons Gap, KY, and Myra Rodriguez (Earven) of Clarksville, TN; a son, David A. Rhoades (Sandy) of Owensboro; 13 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; a sister, Loretta Rhoades of Owensboro; a special cousin, Anne Stewart of Deanfield, KY; several nieces and nephews
The service will be 12PM Wednesday, October 4th at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Bro. Jerry Carter will officiate. Interment will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. The visitation will be 4-8PM Tuesday and after 9AM until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
