David Douglas Rhineburger, 70, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born July 15, 1945 in Owensboro, to the late Vernon Douglas and Vera Dean Sapp Rhineburger. David was retired after 35 years as a truck driver having last worked for the Belmont Trucking Co. He was an member of the AmVets Auxiliary with Post #75, enjoyed Bar-be-ques with his family, and loved his dog, Wenter, very much. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Diane Rhineburger and a brother, Carroll Ezell.
Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Nancy L. Rhineburger, two sons, Luke Rhineburger of Owensboro and Mark Rhineburger of Texas, two stepsons, David Eugene Hartley of Ashville, Ohio and Steven Lee Hartley of Circleville, Ohio, two stepdaughters, Mary Hartley Crosby of Ashville and Christina Sue Hartley of Crosby, Texas, two grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, several step great grandchildren, and four brothers, Terry, Jerry, and Roger Rhineburger, all of Owensboro, and Larry Rhineburger of Chicago, Illinois.
Private services will be held. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory are in charge of arrangements.
