David Keith Nelson

David Keith Nelson, 71, of 2217 Mill Run, Owensboro, died Saturday, January 14, 2006 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born May 1, 1934 in Crawfordsville, Indiana. David was retired from the Nelson Agency that represented golf equipment and was currently working as a Clark Security guard at Swedish Match. He was a Kentucky Colonel, a veteran of the U. S. Navy and a graduate of Purdue University.
David was preceded in death by a sister, Janet, and a son, Craig in 2000.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Elnora Nelson, a son, Jonathon of Owensboro, his mother, Mary Decker, of Crawfordsville, Indiana, sister Joan McCloud, and a step-sister, Sharon Perkins both of Linden, Indiana.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with the Myke Templeton officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, and after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
