David Jeffrey Nation, 42, of Frisco, TX, formerly of Owensboro, died Thursday, August 12, 2010, at his home as the result of a sudden massive heart attack. Jeff was born at Ft. Polk, LA, on July 1, 1968 and graduated from Apollo High School in Owensboro in 1986. Jeff was an Army Veteran, and was deployed to Egypt during the Libyan crisis. After his military service he received his Bachelors degree from Western Kentucky University and then moved to Hilton Head Island, SC, and remained there for seven years. In 2000, he moved to Dallas, TX, where he was a Journeyman Plumber for Local 100, UA Plumbers and Pipefitters Union. Jeff enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, Texas hold'em poker, University of Kentucky basketball and his beloved dog, Sadie. He was a great cook, loved music and was a huge movie buff.
Survivors include his wife, Chantal Ray Nation of Frisco, TX; his mother, Tandy S. Nation of Minneapolis, MN, his father, David L. Nation and stepmother, Kim C. Nation of Owensboro; two brothers, Paul S. Nation of Denton, TX and Grant K. Nation of Owensboro; his grandparents, Emogene Nation of Owensboro, Cecil and Delores Adwell of Louisville, KY, and his step-grandmother, Geneva Chew of Owensboro.
Services will be 4:00 PM Saturday, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with visitation after 12:00 PM Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Donor's favorite charity.
