David Wayne Middleton

David Wayne Middleton, 69, of Owensboro, passed away at his home on November 14, 2025. He was born on August 4, 1956, in Owensboro to the late Winford P. and Bobbie Saunders Middleton.

A 1974 graduate of Daviess County High School, David went on to serve in the Army National Guard. Gifted with an engineer’s mind and a natural talent for mechanics, he taught himself to work on nearly anything. Over the years, he built smokers, welded, worked in construction, and applied his skills throughout the trucking industry, repairing and modifying trailers.

David also loved playing pool and took part in numerous local tournaments as well as events held in Tennessee. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his generous spirit and his big heart.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Mark H. Miller and Joseph “Mike” Boone.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sisters, Brenda Miller and her children, Ashley and Mathisen Miller, Cynthia Boone and her children Matthew Boone and Kelly Howard, Delilah Morishige and her children, Naomi Abrams, Helen Erika Dowling, Rafeal P.L. Ramirez Jr., Maria Ramirez, and Jessica Monroy; and his longtime friends who were like family to him, Kenny Basham, Steve Brown and Melissa Fulkerson.

The memorial service for David Middelton will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
