David Howard Leeper

David Howard Leeper, 73, of Owensboro on Saturday, November 28, 2015 peacefully went to meet Jesus, surrounded of his wife and children at Owensboro Regional Hospital. He was born in Owensboro April 30, 1942, a son of the late Frank and Ann Howard Leeper. He owned and operated All-Weather Heating and Cooling from 1968 until 2008 when he retired, leaving his son and wife to continue the business. David was a member of Walnut Memorial Baptist Church where he received his license to preach on November 17, 1999 and was ordained December 10, 2008. He was a member of and held many offices in The Gideons International until he was called to the ministry. He was chaplain of the WWCCI Wally Byam Airstream Club and held Sunday morning services on caravans in Gillette, WY and Madison, WI. David served as Scoutmaster of the former Troop #49 at Third Baptist Church from 1970 thru 1975. A member of the Plumbers Association, he also served with the Kentucky Division of Disaster Relief. He enjoyed woodworking and he and Betty traveled countless miles, camping together and working with disaster relief teams in many different areas. David was a member of long standing in The Bird Dog Club. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Frank Wayne Leeper.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Betty Parker Leeper, his sons, David Allan Leeper and his wife Renee of Owensboro and Chris Leeper and his wife Erika of Alpharetta, GA; his daughter Kim Mann and her husband John of Wake Forest, NC; his six grandchildren Lindsey and Ashley Priest, Elizabeth, Joshua, and Andrea Mann, and Caleb Leeper; his brother Danny Leeper of Phoenix, and his sister Beverly Baker of Jacksonville, FL.

The funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, where visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday and from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. Tuesday.
