David Earl Kinsey, 73, passed away July 13, 2016. He was born November 9, 1942 in Evansville, IN to the late Earl and Dorothy Kinsey. After graduating from North High School, Dave became manager of Budlock Refrigeration in Hopkinsville. He also worked part time as a DJ for WHOP Radio Station. After attending broadcasting school of Chicago, he worked full time as a sportscaster and salesman for WHOP. In 1981 he came to Owensboro to become manager of ACH (now United Refrigeration). Dave retired in 2014.
Dave was a Mason, Kentucky Colonel, and Duke of Paducah and was a longtime fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He loved trains and because he couldn't have a large train layout in his home, he spent his time creating layouts and running trains on the computer. Dave was also a member of Settle Memorial Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Rebecca Stockton Kinsey; son, Daren Kinsey; granddaughters, Erin Morgan and Adysen Kinsey; brother-in-laws, Frank (Charlotte) Stockton; Bud (Arleen) Stockton, and Mark (Lorie) Stockton.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2016 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Daren Brandon officiating. Burial will be take place at Sunset Memorial Park in Evansville. Visitation will be 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
