David Allen Hale

David Allen Hale, 60, of 2724 W. 5th. St., Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born on February 3, 1953 in (Daviess Co.) Utica. He was a welder having worked for Big River Rubber and Gasket Co. for 17 years. He had graduated from Owensboro Technical College where he earned his welding degree. He enjoyed coin collecting, fishing, Nascar, and going on cruises with his wife. David was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Greathouse Hale on October 31, 2012, his father, Phillip Edward Hale, and two brothers, Phillip and Tommy Hale.

Surviving are his mother, Kathlyn Hamilton Hale of Owensboro, two daughters, Sheena Renea Fitzgerald of Owensboro, and Crystal Denise (Thomas) Adkins of Owensboro, a son, David Lee Hale and a son-in-law Larry Dean Fitzgerald, both of Owensboro, six grandchildren, Ashley and Leslie Fitzgerald, Jamie, Christian, and Sarah Hale, and Dakota Adkins, a brother, Jimmy (Brenda) Hale of Florida, and two sisters, Martha Slaton of Cannelton, IN and Helen Brown of Beaver Dam.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 29, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Nickel Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Friday and after 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
