David Riggs English

David R. English, 72, of Hartford, formerly of Owensboro, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2006. Born in McLean County on December 11, 1933, Mr. English was the son of the late Gus and Nina Riggs English. He was a member of Eaton Memorial Baptist Church. Mr. English was preceded in death by siblings, A.B. English, Grace Joyce Sissy Sullivan, and Mike English and by his faithful companion Sable.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Elizabeth Leonard English; children, Roger (and his wife Tana) English of Lexington, Lisa (and her husband Dewey) Streeter of Gastonia, NC, and Michelle (and her husband Greg) Watson of Owensboro; a step-son, Darwin (and his wife Amanda) Colston of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, David Roger English, Logan Edward English, James Garrett English, Abbey Caroline English, Lauren Ashlee Watson, Evan Riggs Streeter , and Brianna Elise Streeter; step-grandchildren, Rhonda, Gabrielle, Aaron and Cassie; and two step-great-grandchildren, Spencer and Brooke of North Carolina; and siblings, Wallace (and his wife Louise) English, of Ohio County, Nancy Hatler, and Hugh Walker English of McLean County.

There will be a celebration of Mr. English going home to be with the Lord at Glenn Funeral Home Sunday, June 11, 2006 from 1-4 P.M.
