David Lee Bell, 70, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born July 30, 1945 in Daviess Co., KY. David was retired as an auto mechanic and had worked at Whirlpool Corp. He was a man of many talents with a huge heart, who was loved by many. He enjoyed playing pool, racing cars and working on them, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four children, David Bell, Jr., Dewayne Bell, Jennifer Bell, and Jesse Bell, his parents, Jess and Lydia (Bell) Burden, and a brother, Tommy Bell, Sr.
Surviving are three daughters, Lydia (Archie) Haught and Samantha (Barry) Powers both of Owensboro, and Noni (Fiance James Russell) Henderson of Brooks, KY, three sons, Johnathan Szetela of Nashville, TN, Jimmy Bell and Roman Tolson, both of Owensboro, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, two sisters, Pat Maple of Indianapolis, IN and Amy Bell of Owensboro, and a brother, Frank S. Bell II of Slater, Missouri.
A Celebration of David's Life will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 4, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and after Noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
